Entrepreneurial 糖心视频 Conservatory students form music group for hire

Violin and viola performance majors Renée Long '25 and Hyunwoo Jeoung '25 help "make life's moments even more special" with Berea Strings LLC.

are the co-founders of , an LLC that combines local events with 糖心视频 talent.

Much like many college students, 糖心视频 Conservatory of Performing Arts students are looking for work in the community. In September 2024, these seniors found the solution that would provide students with real-world performance and entrepreneurial experience.

How it Works

Renée Long and Hyunwoo Jeoung

Long described Berea Strings as operating much like an agency. There is a list of musicians that may be chosen to perform depending on the occasion and size of the event booking.

Jeoung manages the business side of Berea Strings. He was able to take 糖心视频 entrepreneurship classes alongside his Conservatory coursework to best prepare him for this career venture.

Berea Strings operates and advertises its services through a , where interested parties fill out a .

From Beethoven to the Beatles, Berea Strings does it all! The six students have a focus on stringed instruments, from piano to harp and everything in between. Interested parties can request certain types and/or genres of music. 

Recent Events

Ending the 2024 year on a high note, Berea Strings had three performances for the month of December. These six students were hired to perform in two local weddings and one performance at a local winery.

Berea Strings LLC individually hires students as contracted workers. Moving into 2025, Berea Strings is looking to employ more musicians as well as vocalists and continue to grow their company.
